Project designation | S4TI - Development of a sample dematerialization system for the textile industry

Approval date | 2019-08-22

Project code | NORTE-01-0247-FEDER-045288
Main objective| Reinforce research, technological development and innovation
Intervention region | North
Beneficiary entity | NKA – NEW KNOWLEDGE ADVICE, LTD.

Approval date | 08/22/2019
Start date | 01/03/2020
Completion date | 31/08/2022
Total eligible cost | €450,092.03
European Union financial support | ERDF – €353,371.90 EUR
National/regional public financial support | Not applicable

Goals
The S4TI project will enable NKA to respond to this specific opportunity of digitizing and dematerializing the process of obtaining samples of textile clothing. The NKA, with the previous analysis carried out, identified this opportunity to offer textile companies a solution that allows them to shorten the sample development time, through the systematization of information, data processing, using machine learning techniques and case studies. based reasoning.

Activities
1- Requirements analysis.
2- Development.
3- Construction of prototypes, tests and trials.
4- Wide dissemination of results.
5- Technical project management.

Expected results
– Dematerialization of textile clothing samples (fabrics), through models and modules capable of learning from the history of textile data, and capable of predicting and optimizing variables/parameters useful to decision processes
within the scope of the textile production process itself;
– Endows textile clothing companies with agility and high responsiveness, increasingly narrowing the time space and rationalization of resources (environmentally responsible) in obtaining samples and new
collections, meeting the trends of the sector;
– Allow companies to increasingly work and adapt to new business models, with smaller quantities/volume and greater variety;
– Promote the use and effective endogenization of industry 4.0 by textile clothing companies.
